Hyannis

Today was our day (ok, this was almost a week ago!) to explore Hyannis, MA.  The Cape Cod Rail Trail provided a way to cover a wide range of the town with being on the streets.  The trail is very popular here with lots of users.

Even a bicycle shop next to the trail lured us in to look at the goodies and replenish our bicycle supplies.

A few miles later, we arrived at the art museum and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor sculptures and art in the gallery.

I especially enjoyed this artist and her changing perceptions.  About 20 women got together in the 2000s and practiced their art of painting.  In 2021, they decided to get together again after experiencing Covid times and paint again.  All 20 women had before and after paintings that were dramatically different.  M'Lou's description below and her two paintings gave me a wonder to ponder.

The sculptures were dazzling to me.

The Scargo Tower, located a mile from the museum, was originally built in 1874 as a tourist attraction and has quite a history.  Unfortunately, it was closed this day.  So, we ate our disappointment at the Scargo Cafe another mile away.   It was a delicious lunch.
